Pacific Rim National Park Reserve:
Long Beach:Long Beach is truly one
of the natural wonders of BC. It is a three hour drive
from Parksville to the west coast of Vancouver Island
and it is well worth it.
Broken
Group Islands:
Consist of approx. 100 islands and rocks located in
Barkley Sound . The outer most islands are fully exposed
to the force of the Pacific Ocean. In the lee of the
outer islands, there are more protected waterways for
boating and ocean paddling.

A famous local landmark, Amphitrite Point Light House
and Coast Guard Station is the only easily accessible
lighthouse on the notorious "Graveyard of the Pacific".

Wild
Pacific Trail: The Wild Pacific Trail located
in the District of Ucluelet is a seven phase trail system
skirting the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the westcoast
of Vancouver Island. Overlooking Barkley Sound and the
Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific
Ocean to the south and west, it offers spectacular shoreline
panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and
spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best
headlands along the route.
Willowbrae Trail:This 2.8 km. round trip trail,
traces a portion of the pioneer route linking Ucluelet
& Tofino. This wooded trail begins from a small
gravel lane marked Willowbrae Road, found two kilometres
south of the Tofino - Ucluelet junction. (5 minutes.
drive from Ucluelet). After a few gentle hills the trail
is relatively level until the boardwalk splits, then
steep stairs & ramps descend through the rainforest
to either Half Moon (a quaint cove) or Florencia Bay
(an open, often misty beach).

Biosphere Reserve, is one of the most scenically situated
golf courses in British Columbia, on the West Coast
of Canada.

Thornton Creek Hatchery:
Visit this small salmon hatchery to see chinook, coho
and chum salmon being raised. The most exciting time
to visit the Creek is mid-October to mid-November
when adult spring and coho salmon return to the hatchery
waters after three to four years at sea. The hatchery
